"Drowning"
by: Wes Robert Ward
Drowning, she was drowning. In a world of quickening water, deep blue as any deep blue sea through and through. Cool cold liquid taking her life as if the ocean were her abyss into gasping madness.
Grasping wildly she thrashes in the harsh rolling waves desperately crying to be saved, knowing this will be her not so shallow grave, and yet she gave all she got, lost from land and yacht.
And so she sinks into the deep blue sea with her last air escaping through cries and pleas, and her eyes wide open with sudden shock etched deep as the dark below becomes her last keep.
Sinking, sinking forever lost in the tears of God's forty days and forty nights. Sinking, sinking she is gone, withdrawn like the pawn she was in life's game of chess.
Yet her spirit suddenly felt caressed and cared for by her Lord and savior's hand who pulled her panicking soul from the darkening massive water hole and she suddenly stood upon the water with no other man than Jesus, and thus then she knew her spirit was only saved from her deep and watery grave.
And she who was sinking, sunk no more. It mattered not where sea or sand met foam. Her ship was called Heaven and she was going home.
The End. \ud83c\udf0a
