Ripped away from the light. Thrown into the dark. Night is my despair with no longer a spark. Drained is the depression inside my heart. Torn apart my mind is within and my endless soul that yearns to depart. Damn, damn my beating heart.

The light has gone from my spiritless eyes. Sorrow and sadness is my world that I walk upon, no sun, no moon, no nothing. On feet of death with painful breath I breathe\u2026 I want to leave.

I have turned dark, inside and out. I have turned black, too tired to defend, too tired to attack. I want my life back yet can't turn back time. Living is supposed to be surely sublime, but deep down it's a crime. I want to die, I want to live, I want to give what I got, and not be what I am not.

I am what I am. A human that's damned. I need to be what I am not\u2026 a shot in the dark, a spark of light so bright that it shines in the cold dark night. The blackness that's buried within my aging skin is a darkness called depression, and like any expression it's an obsession that has ruined me.

I want to see the big blue sea. I want to smell the sweet green grass. I want to hold in my hand a red, red rose.

Alas though I can not for I am in a deep dark hole that I call my empty soul. A soul as endless as a waterless well. Heaven be sent I feel a living hell. I guess only time will tell if the black turns to bright.

And my darkness turns to light.
