Symphony Orchestra of London.
Recorded August 7, 10 & 12, 1959 at Walthamstow
Town Hall, London. This was the first G&S opera to
be recorded complete with all dialogue. The Penquin Guide recognized the
quality of the recording by giving it a "rosette". Transfer from the original
London stereo
box set OSA 1209 by Bob Varney.
