"I, Alone"
by: Wes Robert Ward
I alone must face the world all alone. I alone must race against the unknown. No one truly cares, why should I? Why bother with me? Just let me die. I cry and yet no one hears my moans. Why? Because I am all alone.
Who would lift a finger for me? Who could sift the sands of time? Say hello or say goodbye. No, nothing, I just want to die.
Hurting mentally and physically, emotionally distraught. Soul is crying because my heart is torn apart. Not easy living, not easy dying, but crying is the worst, deep down it's a curse.
I want to go home. Not here only there. Wherever that be. Beyond the clouds and sea. Beyond wherever that may be. It must be a better place, one without an awful taste.
Yet I travel alone. I, alone. Alone am I.
I alone must journey by myself. I alone must end myself. But how will I die? No, not by my hand, and so I must wait for God to take me to the promised land.
And so I alone sit and cry, and wait to die. I alone wait and cry, and sit. Like Poe's Pendulum pit of despair, alone, with no one to share. Some days are good and some days are bad. Some days I live. And some days I die inside.
To not confide only bides my own abyss into my own sadness and madness, and yet I crave it immensely. Crazy as it sounds I want it to bury me in the ground.
I, alone, am tired of going on in this world we call home. I, alone, am all alone with no one to love and love me back. In this world we have someone to abide or condone, yet I am on my own.
I am all alone. In the dark I sit. I am all alone. In my deep dark pit.
The End. \ud83d\ude14
