My right eye, taken by Walter Rinder, late 1970s

I got to know Walt in the late 1970s. I liked the him a lot. He\u2019s a seriously decent person. At the time this was taken, he had already published at least a few books. The book with this photo in it has the picture of a blond woman sitting in a rocking chair inset in my eye. I never met the woman, and it is my understanding that he had never included any woman, in any format, in any of his books. I consider it a real honor. Thank you, Walt. :)

I don't know what that schmutz is on my eyebrow. Whatever it is, it is definitely NOT part of the photograph. Probably something on the scanner's platen.
