A-line princess seam cotton halter dress featuring all-over small,
striped floral print and numerous decorative features including a tied halter,
gathered sweetheart neckline stitched with pearlescent beads, crocheted lace
along neckline, gathered ruffle on edge of hem, and appliqued braid along
stitching of hem ruffle. Fully lined with gathered ruffle along lining hem to
create effect of ruffled underskirt. Machine-stitched with invisible zipper set
in side seam. Back panel features shirring in bodice portion with ribbon lacing
to allow for adjustable sizing, although original ribbon is not present.
Inspired by Victorian costume and Japanese alternative fashion. Combined two
commercial sewing patterns for bodice and skirt to create base dress pattern.
