BOAZ, a stern wheel towboat with a wood hull
(193 ft. x 44 ft. x 6.5 ft.), was built at Sewickly, Pennsylvania in
1882. She towed coal on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers between
Pittsburgh and New Orleans until she was retired in 1916.

Image from my collection. Suffers from some serious condition issues. In order to scan image I had to remove a layer of smokers emulsion type scum from the surface. The dark scan is after that cleaning with 91% isopropyl alcohol and lots of clean cotton balls. The image through the emulsion was mostly pretty useless. Thankfully the process did not damage the image underneath the old goo. Although even still the image has severe conditional issues staining down into the image plus uv light damage where it must have spent years stacked with the other steamboat photographs that I will be uploading later.
