The End Of The World. Skeeter Davis (1931-2004). Ms. Davis began her singing career in the late 40's as part of a singing duo billed as the Davis Sisters, even though the two women were friends but not related. She later became the first female C&W singer to carve out a successful solo career. "The End Of The World" was a big early 60's crossover hit. Transfer from the original 1963 RCA Victor LP LSP 2699 by Bob Varney.
