This article examines the critical function of Data Scientists within the urban hub of Dhaka. By analyzing current trends in fintech, healthcare analytics, and urban planning within Dhaka's metropolitan area, we argue that Data Scientists are not merely technical implementers but strategic catalysts for economic growth and social welfare. The study highlights the challenges faced by local data professionals, including infrastructure constraints and skill gaps, while proposing a roadmap for enhancing local capacity building. The findings suggest that investing in Data Science education and industry partnerships in Dhaka is essential for sustainable development.
