Abstract

On one hand, it is a hub of modern infrastructure; on the other, it sits atop an ancient lake bed prone to subsidence and seismic instability. In this volatile context, the Firefighter serves not merely as an extinguisher of flames but as a critical component of urban survival. The concept of safety in Mexico City is deeply intertwined with the performance and preparedness of its firefighting forces.
Historically, the role of the Firefighter in Mexico City has expanded beyond traditional fire suppression.
