Nowhere is this more evident than in Iraq Baghdad, where decades of conflict have severely compromised state-owned infrastructure.

The academic discourse regarding urban infrastructure in the Middle East often focuses on macro-level engineering projects or policy decisions made by international organizations. Conversely, the micro-level interventions performed by individual tradespeople are frequently overlooked.
