Abstract
This article examines the critical role of the welder profession within the rapidly industrializing context of Turkey Ankara. As Turkey strives to position itself as a manufacturing hub in Eurasia, Ankara has emerged not only as a political capital but also as a burgeoning center for automotive, defense, and heavy machinery production. This study analyzes the technical demands, educational pathways, and economic impacts associated with skilled welding labor in the region. Through qualitative analysis of local industry reports and workforce data from Turkey Ankara’s industrial zones such as Etimesgut Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ), we highlight the necessity for specialized training programs that align with international ISO standards. The findings suggest that while demand for a competent welder is high, there remains a significant skills gap that requires immediate attention from both public policy makers and private sector stakeholders to sustain regional growth.
