By exploring case studies of prominent performers and analyzing market trends from 2015 to 2024, this document highlights the transformation of the actor from a traditional theater practitioner to a global digital influencer. The findings suggest that while opportunities have expanded significantly due to streaming technologies in Nigeria Lagos, structural challenges regarding remuneration and intellectual property rights remain pressing issues for professional actors.

The relationship between art and commerce is nowhere more evident than in the film industry of Nigeria. Specifically, the city of Nigeria Lagos stands as the epicenter of this cultural explosion. This conference paper aims to dissect the current state of acting as a profession in Nigeria Lagos. It seeks to understand how modern actors adapt their skills for screen, stage, and digital media. Furthermore, it investigates the economic implications of this growth on individual performers and the broader cultural ecosystem of Nigeria Lagos.

To appreciate the current position of the actor in Nigeria Lagos, one must look back at its roots. Historically, acting in Nigeria was rooted in traditional theater groups and university drama clubs.
