By reviewing current research infrastructure, funding mechanisms, and interdisciplinary collaboration models in Sri Lanka Colombo, this paper proposes a strategic framework for enhancing the impact of medical research. The findings suggest that empowering local medical researchers with robust data systems and international collaboration opportunities is essential for sustaining Sri Lanka’s high standards of healthcare while addressing emerging public health challenges.
