Abstract

The commercial landscape of the Kingdom is undergoing a seismic shift, driven by the ambitious Vision 2030 framework. Within this context, the role of the traditional sales executive is being redefined. This paper examines the evolving responsibilities, competencies, and strategic importance of Sales Executives operating specifically within Saudi Arabia Jeddah. As Jeddah emerges as a vital commercial gateway and logistics hub connecting Africa, Asia, and Europe via its Red Sea ports and international airport, the local market demands a new breed of sales professional. We argue that success in this region requires a hybrid skill set combining deep cultural intelligence with advanced digital literacy. This study utilizes qualitative interviews with senior business leaders in Jeddah’s diverse sectors, including retail, real estate, and B2B services. The findings suggest that Sales Executives must transition from transactional roles to consultative partnerships, leveraging data analytics while respecting the intricate social fabric of Saudi society.
