With its status as a major port city and home to millions of residents from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, the prevalence of speech disorders requires targeted intervention strategies. This conference paper aims to delineate the specific needs for Speech Therapist services in Jeddah, arguing that localized protocols are essential for effective treatment outcomes.

A Speech Therapist is a licensed healthcare professional who evaluates and treats individuals with speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. In the context of Saudi Arabia Jeddah, the scope of practice for a Speech Therapist is expanding beyond traditional clinical settings.
