As an intern pursuing my role as a UX/UI Designer, I was privileged to observe firsthand how companies operating in Colombia Bogotá prioritize accessibility and user-centric design.




The objective of this internship was not only to enhance my technical skills but also to understand the specific needs of the local market. Users in Colombia Bogotá, much like other regions, expect seamless interactions across various devices. However, unique factors such as internet connectivity patterns, mobile-first usage trends significantly influence design decisions made by UX/UI professionals.





During my internship period, several core objectives were established to guide my activities as a UX/UI Designer.



• To conduct user research specific to audiences residing in Colombia Bogotá, ensuring that designs align with local cultural expectations and language preferences.


• To create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for an upcoming mobile application targeting young professionals living in urban areas of Colombia Bogotá.


• To collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure that designs are both aesthetically pleasing and technically feasible.


• To participate in usability testing sessions, gathering feedback from actual users within the region to iterate on design improvements.

A major responsibility involved conducting competitive analysis of existing apps operating in Colombia Bogotá. This process allowed me to identify common patterns and potential gaps where our product could innovate. By leveraging tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Miro, I developed multiple iterations of the user interface aimed at enhancing engagement metrics.





One of the most significant aspects of designing for Colombia Bogotá is recognizing its distinct cultural characteristics. For instance, Colombian users tend to favor warm color palettes and friendly typography that reflects hospitality—a trait deeply ingrained in local culture.
