Therefore, performance optimization is just as important as visual appeal.

The company’s mission aligns with broader national goals to digitize services across Uganda. From mobile money transactions (such as MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money) to government service portals, the interface design directly impacts financial inclusion and social welfare. As a UX UI Designer, I was tasked not merely with making things look good, but with ensuring that technology remained accessible to populations with varying levels of digital literacy.

My daily routine as an intern involved a mix of research, design execution, and collaboration. The core responsibilities included:

Furthermore, my understanding of Information Architecture improved drastically. I learned how to organize content in a way that minimizes cognitive load for users who may not be frequent internet users. The most significant challenge I encountered was designing for low-bandwidth environments.
