Notes & Terms
1. This Invoice is issued in accordance with the Service Agreement dated February 10, 2025, between Dr. Eleanor M. Whitfield (Academic Researcher) and the University of Toronto, Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering.
2. Payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days of the Invoice date. A late payment surcharge of 1.5% per month will apply to outstanding balances after the due date, in compliance with the Ontario Business Corporations Act.
3. All research data, raw interview recordings, and intermediate analytical files remain the intellectual property of the Academic Researcher unless otherwise stipulated in the master agreement. The final report and all derived publications are co-owned as per Section 7 of the contract.
4. This Invoice is subject to the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) at the applicable Ontario rate of 13%. The Academic Researcher is registered under the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for GST/HST purposes.
5. Please direct any disputes or queries regarding this Invoice to the undersigned within fifteen (15) business days. Unresolved disputes may be referred to the Ontario Arbitration Act for mediation.
6. This document constitutes a valid tax invoice as defined under the Excise Tax Act (Canada) and may be used for input tax credit (ITC) claims by the recipient institution.
