1. This Invoice is payable within thirty (30) calendar days of the Invoice date, i.e., no later than 15 July 2025. Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the account details specified above in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
2. Late payments shall incur a penalty interest of 1.5% per month, calculated on the outstanding balance, in accordance with the commercial code of the DR Congo and the terms of the research grant agreement.
3. All amounts on this Invoice are denominated in United States Dollars (USD). The Academic Researcher reserves the right to convert the final payment to Congolese Francs (CDF) at the official exchange rate published by the Banque Centrale du Congo on the date of payment, if the receiving institution requires local currency settlement.
4. This Invoice constitutes the final settlement for all Academic Researcher services rendered under Project Reference AFR-RES-KIN-2025-012 for the period January through June 2025. No further charges shall be applied for this phase of the research project in Kinshasa, DR Congo.
5. The Academic Researcher warrants that all data collected, analyzed, and reported under this engagement were obtained in full compliance with the ethical standards of the University of Kinshasa, the data protection regulations of the DR Congo, and the research ethics guidelines of the IDRC.
6. In the event of any dispute regarding the services described in this Invoice, both parties agree to first seek resolution through good-faith negotiation in Kinshasa, DR Congo, before resorting to formal arbitration under the rules of the OHADA (Organisation pour l'Harmonisation en Afrique du Droit des Affaires) arbitration center.
I, Dr. Jean-Pierre Mbuyi Kasongo, hereby certify that the services described in this Invoice were personally performed or directly supervised by me in my capacity as Academic Researcher. I confirm that all work was conducted in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, and that the charges listed herein are accurate, complete, and in full compliance with the terms of the research grant agreement.
