Payment Terms & Conditions
This Invoice is issued in accordance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (2015) of Kenya and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) tax regulations. Payment of the full net amount of KES 1,293,150.00 is due within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of this Invoice, i.e., on or before 15th July 2025.
The Academic Researcher, Dr. Wanjiru M. Otieno, shall be deemed to have fulfilled all contractual obligations upon delivery of the final peer-reviewed report and completion of the public seminar in Kenya Nairobi. Any late payment shall attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as stipulated under Kenyan commercial law.
All intellectual property rights in the research findings, data sets, and publications arising from this engagement shall vest in the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics upon full and final payment of this Invoice. The Academic Researcher retains the right to cite the work in future academic publications with prior written consent.
Important Notes
1. This Invoice has been generated in compliance with the KRA eTIMS (Electronic Tax Invoice Management System) requirements. The eTIMS reference number is: ETIMS/2025/KNR/0472/8834.
2. The Academic Researcher confirms that all fieldwork was conducted in full compliance with the National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) ethical guidelines and the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019).
3. All travel, accommodation, and logistics costs incurred during fieldwork in Kenya Nairobi and its surrounding sub-counties have been included in the rates specified above. No additional charges shall apply.
4. In the event of any dispute arising from this Invoice or the associated services, both parties agree to first seek resolution through mediation under the Kenya Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (KCICA) before pursuing litigation in the High Court of Kenya at Nairobi.
5. This Invoice is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Academic Researcher reserves the right to reissue the Invoice with updated tax calculations if applicable KRA rates have changed.
