Payment Terms & Instructions
This Invoice is issued in accordance with the terms of the Academic Researcher Service Agreement (Ref: MU/RI/2025/0112) between Dr. Sarah Nakato and Makerere University, Research & Innovation Directorate, Uganda Kampala.
- Payment is due within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of this Invoice, i.e., on or before 30 June 2025.
- Payment shall be made via bank transfer to: Stanbic Bank Uganda, Account Name: Dr. Sarah Nakato Research Consultancy, Account No: 010-456-789-001, Branch: Kampala CBD.
- Alternatively, payment may be made by cheque drawn on any commercial bank in Uganda Kampala, payable to "Dr. Sarah Nakato Research Consultancy."
- A late payment penalty of 2% per month shall apply to any outstanding balance after the due date, in line with Uganda's Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act.
- All amounts are quoted in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) and are inclusive of applicable taxes as stated above.
Notes & Additional Information
This Invoice covers all academic research services rendered by the Academic Researcher, Dr. Sarah Nakato, during the period of January 2025 through June 2025. All fieldwork was conducted in and around Uganda Kampala and the Eastern Region as specified in the original project proposal.
The Academic Researcher confirms that all data collected, analyses performed, and publications produced under this engagement comply with the Uganda National Commission for Science, Technology & Innovation (UNSTI) ethical guidelines and the Makerere University Research Ethics Committee (MUREC) approval (Ref: MUREC/2025/0034).
Intellectual property rights for all research outputs, including the published paper and workshop materials, shall be jointly held by the Academic Researcher and Makerere University as stipulated in the Service Agreement. Any commercial exploitation of the research findings in Uganda Kampala or internationally shall require written consent from both parties.
