Due Date: This Invoice is payable within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue, i.e., no later than 17 July 2025. Late payments shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month in accordance with the Japanese Late Payment of Compensation Act (Act No. 51 of 1999).
Currency: All amounts are denominated in Japanese Yen (JPY). No foreign currency conversion applies as both the Astronomer and the client are resident in Japan Kyoto.
Tax Registration: The Astronomer is registered under the Japanese Consumption Tax system. Tax Number: 60-1234567-0000. This Invoice is issued as a formal tax invoice (seikyūshō) and may be used by the client for input tax credit purposes.
1. This Invoice represents the final and complete billing for all Astronomer services rendered in Japan Kyoto during the period specified. No additional charges shall apply beyond those itemized above unless a written amendment to the service agreement is executed by both parties.
2. All intellectual property rights in the celestial charts, lecture materials, and scholarly reports produced by the Astronomer under this engagement shall transfer to the Kyoto Municipal Cultural Heritage Foundation upon full payment of this Invoice, subject to the Astronomer retaining the right to cite the work in future academic publications with appropriate attribution.
3. The Astronomer warrants that all observations, data, and interpretations provided are accurate to the best of current scientific knowledge and were conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the Japan Astronomical Society (JAS) and the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
4. Any disputes arising from this Invoice or the underlying service agreement shall be resolved through mediation in Kyoto, Japan, in accordance with the rules of the Kyoto Arbitration Center, before any litigation is commenced in the Kyoto District Court.
5. This Invoice is valid for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Astronomer reserves the right to reissue the Invoice with applicable adjustments.
I, Dr. Haruki Tanegawa, hereby certify that the services described in this Invoice were personally performed by me, a licensed and certified Astronomer, in the city of Japan Kyoto, and that the charges stated herein are fair, accurate, and in full compliance with the terms of our professional services agreement. This Invoice is issued in good faith and constitutes a binding financial document under Japanese commercial law.
