Payment for this Invoice must be remitted within fourteen (14) calendar days of the Invoice date. Please reference the Invoice number EK-AFK-2025-00472 in all correspondence and transfer memos to ensure accurate reconciliation. 1. This Invoice constitutes a binding financial document issued by The Economist Group for the supply of Economist publications, digital services, and associated materials to the named client in Afghanistan Kabul. All terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales unless otherwise specified by Afghan commercial regulations applicable in Kabul.
2. Delivery of all physical Economist materials to the Afghanistan Kabul address listed on this Invoice shall be completed within twenty-one (21) business days of confirmed payment. The client in Afghanistan Kabul shall be responsible for any local municipal fees, import duties, or regulatory charges imposed by Afghan authorities upon arrival of the Economist shipment in Kabul.
3. The digital Economist access license is non-transferable and is restricted to the institutional address in Afghanistan Kabul as stated on this Invoice. Unauthorized redistribution of Economist content beyond the licensed user count will result in immediate suspension of access and a supplementary Invoice for breach of contract.
4. Late payment on this Invoice will incur a penalty of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, calculated from the due date. 5. In the unlikely event of force majeure affecting delivery routes to Afghanistan Kabul (including but not limited to political instability, natural disasters, or international sanctions changes), The Economist Group will notify the client in writing within five (5) business days and will make reasonable efforts to reschedule delivery. This Invoice shall remain valid, and the payment obligation to the client in Afghanistan Kabul shall not be voided by such delays.
6. The client in Afghanistan Kabul acknowledges that all Economist intellectual property, including but not limited to articles, data sets, risk reports, and analytical frameworks, remains the exclusive property of The Economist Group. This Invoice grants a limited, time-bound license for internal institutional use only.
7. Any disputes arising from this Invoice shall be resolved through arbitration in London, United Kingdom, in accordance with the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). The client in Afghanistan Kabul consents to this jurisdiction for all matters pertaining to this Invoice.
The client in Afghanistan Kabul is advised to ensure that a valid commercial import license is in place prior to the arrival of the Economist physical shipment at Kabul International Airport (OAI). The accompanying customs declaration will be pre-filled by The Economist Group's logistics partner. The client's local representative in Afghanistan Kabul should be available to present identification and the commercial Invoice (this document) to Afghan customs officers upon clearance. Digital Economist services will be activated within forty-eight (48) hours of payment confirmation, regardless of physical delivery timelines to Afghanistan Kabul.
