Invoice Terms & Conditions — Economist Services, Iraq Baghdad
This Invoice is issued by Economist Media Group in accordance with the service agreement (Contract Ref: ECO-IRAQ-2025-Q2) executed between the parties. All Economist publications, digital licenses, research reports, and analytical services described in this Invoice were rendered specifically for the client's operations in Iraq Baghdad.
- Payment: The full amount stated on this Invoice is due within thirty (30) calendar days of the Invoice date. Payment may be made in US Dollars via international wire transfer or in Iraqi Dinars via local bank transfer to the account designated by Economist Media Group, Iraq Baghdad office.
- Currency & Exchange: All amounts are quoted in both USD and IQD. The applicable exchange rate for this Invoice is 1 USD = 1,300 IQD, as fixed by the Central Bank of Iraq on the Invoice date. Any discrepancy in the IQD amount due to exchange rate fluctuation shall be settled in USD.
- Late Payment: Overdue balances on this Invoice shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month, calculated from the due date until full payment is received. Economist Media Group reserves the right to suspend all digital access and future print deliveries to the Iraq Baghdad location upon non-payment beyond fifteen (15) days past the due date.
- Disputes: Any dispute arising from this Invoice or the underlying Economist services shall be resolved through arbitration in Baghdad, Iraq, in accordance with the commercial arbitration laws of the Republic of Iraq. The parties agree that the seat of arbitration shall be Iraq Baghdad.
- Intellectual Property: All Economist content, including but not limited to articles, data sets, charts, and the custom research report, remains the exclusive intellectual property of Economist Media Group. The client in Iraq Baghdad is granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the materials solely for internal research and institutional purposes.
- Tax Compliance: The 5% VAT applied on this Invoice is in compliance with the Iraqi Value Added Tax Law. The client's Tax ID (IQ-TR-784521) has been recorded for the purposes of Iraqi tax reporting. A copy of this Invoice must be retained by the client for a minimum of five (5) years in Iraq Baghdad for audit purposes.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Invoice or the associated service agreement due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to political instability, sanctions changes, or natural disasters affecting Iraq Baghdad or the broader region.
Notes & Authorisation
This Invoice has been prepared and authorised by the Economist Media Group regional accounting team based in Iraq Baghdad. The services listed herein were delivered during the first quarter of 2025 and represent the complete and final billing for the agreed scope of work. No additional charges beyond those itemised above shall be applied to this Invoice. The client is requested to verify all line items against the delivery receipts and access logs maintained at the Iraq Baghdad office. Any corrections or queries regarding this Invoice must be submitted in writing to [email protected] within ten (10) business days of receipt.
