Payment Terms & Instructions

This invoice is issued in accordance with the commercial agreement between The Economist Group and the Manchester Economic Research Institute, dated 1 January 2025. All amounts are denominated in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are subject to United Kingdom Value Added Tax (VAT) at the standard rate of twenty percent (20%), unless otherwise exempt under HM Revenue & Customs regulations.

  • Payment Due: Within thirty (30) calendar days of the issue date, i.e., no later than 15 July 2025.
  • Payment Method: Bank transfer (BACS/CHAPS) to the account detailed below. Cheques are no longer accepted for invoices exceeding £5,000.00.

1. This invoice covers the subscription and service period commencing 1 July 2025 and expiring 30 June 2026. Renewal terms will be communicated no later than ninety (90) days prior to the expiry date.

2. The Economist digital subscription and Economist Academy access are non-transferable and are licensed exclusively to the named institution at the Manchester, United Kingdom address specified above. Any change of address or institutional name must be notified in writing to the Subscription Services Division at least fourteen (14) days in advance.

3. The EIU Country Risk Report and bespoke research briefings are prepared specifically for the Manchester Economic Research Institute and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared with third parties without prior written consent from The Economist Group.

4. All services described in this invoice are governed by the Master Service Agreement (MSA) executed between the parties. In the event of any discrepancy between this invoice and the MSA, the terms of the MSA shall prevail.
