Invoice Notes & Editorial Terms
1. This Invoice covers all editorial services rendered by the undersigned Editor during the second quarter of 2025. All work was performed at the Editor's studio located in Higashiyama-ku, Japan Kyoto, and at the client's offices in Nakagyo-ku, Japan Kyoto, as specified in the Master Editorial Services Agreement dated January 5, 2025.
2. The Editor retains full intellectual property rights over editorial methodologies, style guides, and proprietary review frameworks developed during the engagement. All edited manuscripts and final proofs remain the exclusive property of Kyoto International Publishing House upon full settlement of this Invoice.
3. Payment for this Invoice is due within thirty (30) calendar days of the Invoice date. Late payments shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month, in accordance with Japanese commercial practice and the terms stipulated in the governing contract. Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the account specified below.
4. All editorial work conducted in Japan Kyoto adheres to the Japan Publishers Association (JPA) standards for quality assurance. The Editor guarantees a minimum of three full review passes on all manuscripts before final delivery. Any revisions requested by the client beyond the agreed scope will be invoiced separately at the applicable hourly rate.
5. This Invoice is issued in accordance with the Japanese Tax Code and the Invoice System (適格請求書) regulations effective from October 2023. The Editor is a registered qualified invoice issuer. The consumption tax amount stated herein is eligible for the client's tax credit deduction.
6. The Editor confirms that all services described in this Invoice were performed in full compliance with the labor and professional standards applicable in Japan Kyoto. No sub-contracting of editorial tasks was undertaken without prior written consent from the client.
7. Should the client require any clarification regarding line items, editorial hours, or the scope of work referenced in this Invoice, please contact the Editor's office at the address listed above. Inquiries will be responded to within two business days.
