Payment Terms & Notes
- This invoice is issued in accordance with the Colombian tax regulations established by the Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales (DIAN). The journalist is registered as a natural person (persona natural) with a valid NIT for the purpose of issuing this invoice in Colombia Bogotá.
- Payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days from the issue date via bank transfer to: Banco de Bogotá, Account No. 016-987654-3, C.C. María A. Restrepo Gómez. Please reference Invoice Number INV-BOG-2025-0047 in the transfer memo.
- All journalistic content, including articles, photographs, video footage, and multimedia assets produced under this engagement, shall remain the intellectual property of the journalist until full payment of this invoice is received. Upon settlement, the client receives a perpetual, non-exclusive license to reproduce and distribute the content in all media formats.
- The journalist warrants that all reporting was conducted in compliance with the Colombian Constitution (Article 20 – Freedom of the Press), the Ley de Prensa (Ley 1795 de 2016), and applicable data protection regulations (Ley 1581 de 2012 – Habeas Data).
- Any late payment shall accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by Colombian law (Ley 1475 de 2011). The journalist reserves the right to suspend further services and withhold unpublished materials until the outstanding balance is settled in full.
- This invoice constitutes a valid fiscal document (factura electrónica) for tax deduction purposes in Colombia. A digital copy in XML format is available upon request via the DIAN electronic invoicing platform.
Legal Notice: This invoice is governed by the commercial and civil laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute arising from this invoice or the underlying journalist services agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bogotá D.C., Colombia. The parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation before initiating any formal legal proceedings. This document was prepared and issued in Colombia Bogotá, the capital city of the Republic of Colombia, and constitutes a binding fiscal record for both the journalist service provider and the client entity.
