Important Notes & Terms
1. This Invoice is issued in accordance with the tax regulations of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) and the professional standards governing journalists operating in Kinshasa. The Journalist named herein holds a valid press card issued by the Ministry of Communication and Media of the DR Congo.
2. All journalistic content produced under this engagement remains the intellectual property of the Journalist until full payment of this Invoice is received. Upon settlement, the client receives a non-exclusive license to reproduce, distribute, and archive the materials for internal and public use.
3. The Journalist reserves the right to withhold publication of any sensitive investigative findings if doing so would compromise the safety of sources within Kinshasa, DR Congo, in accordance with the DR Congo Press Law (Loi sur la Presse) and international journalistic ethics codes.
4. This Invoice must be settled within fifteen (15) calendar days of the issue date. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to resolve matters through mediation in Kinshasa, DR Congo, before resorting to the competent courts of the Haut-Katanga or Kinshasa judicial district.
5. All services described in this Invoice were performed physically within the city of Kinshasa, DR Congo, and are subject to the local labor, tax, and media regulations of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
