Payment Terms & Instructions
This Invoice must be settled in full within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of issue, no later than 30 June 2025. Payment shall be made in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) via bank transfer to the account details below. The Journalist reserves the right to suspend all ongoing and future services until the outstanding balance on this Invoice is cleared in full.

A late payment penalty of 2% per month will be applied to any outstanding balance beyond the due date, in accordance with the Ethiopian Civil Code and the terms of the service agreement signed on 20 May 2025.

1. This Invoice constitutes a formal request for payment for professional journalist services rendered in Ethiopia Addis Ababa. All services described herein were performed by a licensed and registered Journalist holding a valid press card issued by the Ethiopian Press and Publication Bureau.
2. The Journalist confirms that all reporting, editorial work, and media content delivered under this Invoice are original, factually verified, and free from plagiarism. All intellectual property rights to the published articles, photographs, and translated documents remain with the Journalist unless a separate licensing agreement is executed in writing.
3. This Invoice is subject to the tax regulations of the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA). The 15% Value Added Tax (VAT) has been applied as mandated by the Ethiopian VAT Proclamation No. 981/2016. The 2% withholding tax has been deducted as required by the Ethiopian Income Tax Proclamation No. 979/2016.
4. Any disputes arising from this Invoice or the underlying services shall be resolved through the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in accordance with the Ethiopian Civil Code. The parties agree to attempt mediation before initiating formal legal proceedings.
5. This Invoice is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Journalist reserves the right to reissue the Invoice with updated tax calculations if applicable rates have changed.
6. The client acknowledges receipt of this Invoice and agrees to the terms stated herein by signing below or by making payment to the designated account.
