Payment Instructions & Invoice Notes
This Invoice is issued in accordance with the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch, HGB) and the applicable provisions of the German Tax Code (Abgabenordnung, AO). The journalist, Dr. Katharina Vogel, is a registered self-employed professional (Freiberufler) operating from Germany Berlin and is subject to the Kleinunternehmerregelung exemption threshold; however, for this particular Invoice, full VAT at the standard rate of 19% is applied as the client has provided a valid VAT identification number for reverse-charge purposes under § 13b UStG.
Payment for this Invoice shall be made via bank transfer (SEPA-Überweisung) to the following account within fourteen (14) calendar days of the issue date. All journalistic work products, including but not limited to written articles, video recordings, photographic material, and research dossiers, remain the intellectual property of the journalist until full payment of this Invoice has been received. Upon confirmation of payment, the client shall receive a written assignment of all applicable usage rights as specified in the individual line items above.
This Invoice is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue in compliance with § 146 AO. The journalist acknowledges that all reporting activities were conducted in full compliance with the German Press Law (Pressegesetz) and the professional code of ethics of the German Journalists' Association (Deutscher Journalisten-Verband, DJV).
