- This Invoice constitutes a formal demand for payment of all professional fees, disbursements, and charges incurred by the Lawyer in the course of providing legal services in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. The client acknowledges receipt of this Invoice and agrees to the amounts stated herein.
- Any amount not paid by the due date shall attract a late payment interest at the rate of 10% per annum, calculated on a daily basis from the due date until the date of full payment, in accordance with the Legal Profession (Professional Conduct) Rules 2012 applicable to every Lawyer practising in Malaysia.
- The Lawyer reserves the right to suspend all further legal work and to withdraw from the matter under Section 10 of the Legal Profession Act 1976 if payment is not received within the stipulated period. The client shall be liable for any costs and consequences arising from such suspension or withdrawal.
- All fees quoted in this Invoice are exclusive of Sales and Service Tax (SST) at the prevailing rate of 6%, which is levied on professional legal services rendered by a registered Lawyer in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur as mandated by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
- Disbursements and out-of-pocket expenses (including court fees, stamp duty, expert witness fees, and courier charges) are charged at actual cost and are not subject to the Lawyer's professional fee rate. Receipts for all disbursements are available upon request.
- This Invoice does not constitute a guarantee of any particular outcome in the litigation. The Lawyer's professional judgment and strategy are exercised in the best interest of the client in accordance with the Malaysian legal framework.
- Any disputes arising from this Invoice or the underlying retainer agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, and the laws of Malaysia shall govern this Invoice and all related matters.
- The client is advised to retain this Invoice for tax and accounting purposes. A duplicate copy may be requested from the firm's billing department at Level 24, Menara KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
