- This Invoice is issued by the undersigned Lawyer, Adv. Rajesh Kumar Shrestha, in his capacity as a registered advocate of the Bar Council of Nepal, practicing in Nepal Kathmandu. The Invoice constitutes a binding financial document between the Law Firm and the Client.
- The total amount stated in this Invoice is due and payable within ten (10) calendar days from the date of issuance. Failure to remit payment by the due date shall attract a late payment surcharge of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, in accordance with the fee schedule agreed upon in the retainer agreement dated 1 Baisakh 2082.
- All professional fees charged by the Lawyer are exclusive of applicable taxes. Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate of 13% under the Value Added Tax Act, 2052 (1996) of Nepal has been applied as shown in this Invoice.
- The out-of-pocket expenses listed in this Invoice are actual costs incurred on behalf of the Client in the course of providing legal services in Nepal Kathmandu. Original receipts and vouchers are available for inspection upon request at the Law Firm's office.
- This Invoice does not constitute a guarantee of any particular outcome in the legal proceedings. The Lawyer has exercised professional judgment and due diligence in rendering the services described herein, in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Advocates, 2059 (2003) of Nepal.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the charges in this Invoice, the matter shall be resolved through amicable negotiation between the Lawyer and the Client. Should negotiation fail, the dispute shall be referred to the Bar Council of Nepal or the competent court in Kathmandu, Nepal, as per the jurisdictional provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure, 2075 (2018).
- The Client acknowledges that all legal advice, documents, and work product prepared by the Lawyer in connection with the services billed in this Invoice are confidential and protected under the attorney-client privilege as recognized under Nepali law.
- This Invoice is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After the expiry of this period, the Law Firm reserves the right to suspend all ongoing legal representation until the outstanding balance is settled in full.
- By accepting this Invoice, the Client confirms that the services described have been satisfactorily rendered and that the fees are in accordance with the agreed-upon rate card provided by the Lawyer at the inception of the engagement.
