Terms and Conditions of This Invoice
- This Invoice is issued in accordance with the retainer agreement between the Lawyer and the client, and the rules governing legal practice in Nigeria Abuja as established by the Nigerian Bar Association and the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
- Payment is due within fourteen (14) days of the date of this Invoice. Late payments shall attract a penalty interest of 2% per month on the outstanding balance, as stipulated in the retainer agreement.
- All fees charged by this Lawyer are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate of 7.5% applicable in Nigeria Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, which has been itemised separately above.
- Out-of-pocket expenses are charged at cost and are supported by receipts available upon request. The Lawyer reserves the right to adjust these expenses if actual costs differ from the estimates provided.
- This Invoice does not constitute a waiver of any rights or remedies available to the Lawyer under the retainer agreement or under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- In the event of a dispute regarding the charges on this Invoice, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. Failing resolution within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration in Nigeria Abuja in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Cap A18, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
- The Lawyer shall retain all working papers, drafts, and correspondence related to this matter until full payment of this Invoice has been received, in accordance with the Legal Profession Act, Cap L12, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
- This Invoice is valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Lawyer reserves the right to re-issue the Invoice with any applicable adjustments for currency fluctuation or regulatory changes in Nigeria Abuja.
