Payment Deadline: This Invoice is payable within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of issue. Failure to remit payment by the due date of 30 June 2025 may result in the Lawyer suspending further legal representation and incurring additional administrative charges as permitted under the Legal Profession Law of Sri Lanka.
1. This Invoice constitutes a formal demand for payment for professional legal services rendered by the undersigned Lawyer at the firm of Perera & Associates Legal Chambers, situated in Sri Lanka Colombo. All fees are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are inclusive of the Lawyer's professional time and expertise.
2. The rates specified in this Invoice are in accordance with the fee schedule approved by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka and the Legal Practitioners Act. The Lawyer reserves the right to adjust rates for subsequent engagements with prior written notice to the client.
3. All legal advice, opinions, and documents prepared by the Lawyer are confidential and are protected under the attorney-client privilege as recognized by the courts of Sri Lanka Colombo. The client agrees not to disclose the contents of this Invoice or the underlying legal strategy to any third party without the prior written consent of the Lawyer.
4. Court fees, stamp duties, and other disbursements listed in this Invoice are charged at cost. The Lawyer shall provide original receipts for all such payments upon request.
5. In the event of a dispute regarding the amounts stated in this Invoice, the parties agree to resolve the matter through mediation before the Colombo District Court. The jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka Colombo shall be exclusively applicable to any legal proceedings arising from this Invoice.
6. This Invoice does not constitute a guarantee of any particular legal outcome. The Lawyer shall exercise the highest degree of professional diligence and competence in representing the client's interests, in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Legal Practitioners of Sri Lanka.
7. The client acknowledges that by accepting this Invoice, they authorize the Lawyer to continue providing legal representation in the matter referenced in Client File No. PA/2024/0892 until such time as the engagement is terminated in writing by either party.
