- This Invoice is issued by the Lawyer, Adv. Joseph M. Mwakalinga, a duly registered Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, practising in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. All legal services described herein were rendered in accordance with the Legal Profession Act, Cap. 340 of the Laws of Tanzania, and the Rules of Professional Conduct for Advocates.
- Payment of this Invoice is due within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of issue, i.e., on or before 30 June 2025. Failure to remit payment by the due date shall attract a late payment interest of 2% per month, calculated on the outstanding balance, in accordance with the Law of Contract Act, Cap. 345.
- All amounts stated in this Invoice are in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and are inclusive of the applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the rate of 18% as prescribed by the Tanzania Revenue Authority. The Lawyer is registered under TIN 123-456-789-K.
- The professional fees charged by the Lawyer are based on the standard hourly rates agreed upon in the Retainer Agreement dated 28 April 2025, executed between the Lawyer and the client. Any additional services rendered outside the scope of the original engagement shall be billed separately.
- Ancillary expenses, including court filing fees, service of process charges, document reproduction, and courier costs within Dar es Salaam and the broader Tanzania jurisdiction, are billed at actual cost and are itemised in this Invoice for full transparency.
- This Invoice constitutes a final account for the service period of 01 May 2025 to 31 May 2025. The client acknowledges receipt of this Invoice and agrees to the charges set forth herein. Any disputes regarding the fees shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution clause of the Retainer Agreement, and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
- The Lawyer reserves the right to suspend further legal representation and services in the event of non-payment beyond the stipulated due date, in accordance with the provisions of the Legal Profession Act and the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct for Advocates in Tanzania.
- This Invoice is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Invoice shall be deemed expired and a revised Invoice may be issued reflecting any applicable adjustments.
