This invoice pertains to professional librarian services delivered by the undersigned, a certified and accredited librarian operating within the city of Marseille, France. In the event of late payment, a penalty of 3 times the statutory interest rate (taux d'intérêt légal) shall apply per the provisions of Article L.441-10 of the French Commercial Code, in addition to a fixed indemnity of €40 for recovery costs. The applicable statutory interest rate for the second quarter of 2025 in France is 3.10% per annum.
This invoice is issued in accordance with the French tax code (Code général des impôts), Articles 286 and following, governing the obligation to issue invoices for professional services rendered. The librarian services described herein are subject to the standard French VAT rate of 20% as applicable to professional and intellectual services in the territory of France.
All services were performed by a qualified librarian holding a Master's degree in Information Science (Diplôme de Master en Sciences de l'Information) from Aix-Marseille Université and registered with the French National Order of Documentation Professionals (Ordre National des Professionnels de la Documentation). The provider is fully insured under a professional liability policy (assurance responsabilité civile professionnelle) with AXA France, Policy No. AXA-RC-2025-884721, covering all activities conducted within the city of Marseille and the Bouches-du-Rhône department.
This invoice constitutes a valid commercial document under French law. In the event of any dispute regarding the services rendered or the amounts invoiced, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tribunal de Commerce de Marseille, in accordance with the terms of the governing contract. This document is issued in one (1) original and is valid without signature for the purposes of accounting and tax reporting in France.
The Bibliothèque Municipale de Marseille acknowledges that all librarian services were completed to the satisfaction of the supervising director and that no outstanding items remain from the service period of 1 March 2025 through 31 May 2025. The next scheduled service period and corresponding invoice will be issued no later than 15 June 2025 for the period of 1 June 2025 through 31 August 2025.
