Notes and Terms (Note e Condizioni)
- This invoice is issued in accordance with the professional services agreement (Contratto di Collaborazione Coordinata e Continuativa) dated 28 March 2025, between Dott.ssa Maria Concetta Ferrante, independent librarian operating in Naples, Italy, and the Biblioteca Nazionale di Napoli.
- All librarian services described herein were performed on-site at the library premises located on Via Toledo, Naples, unless otherwise noted. The librarian adhered to all institutional protocols regarding handling of rare materials, access restrictions, and patron confidentiality as mandated by Italian cultural heritage law (D.Lgs. 42/2004 — Codice dei Beni Culturali e del Paesaggio).
- Payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date via bank transfer to the IBAN specified above. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate established by Article 1284 of the Italian Civil Code, plus a fixed compensation of € 25.00.
- The withholding tax (ritenuta d'acconto) of 20% has been applied as required for professional services rendered in Italy under Article 25 of D.P.R. 600/1973. The librarian is responsible for declaring this income in her annual tax return (Modello Redditi PF) filed with the Agenzia delle Entrate, Ufficio di Napoli.
- This invoice is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of issue. In the event of non-payment by the due date, the librarian reserves the right to suspend all ongoing services and to pursue recovery of outstanding amounts in accordance with Italian commercial law.
- All intellectual property rights in the metadata records, classification schemes, and curatorial materials created by the librarian during the service period shall remain the property of the Biblioteca Nazionale di Napoli, Naples, as stipulated in Section 7 of the governing contract.
- For any disputes arising from this invoice or the underlying services, the competent court shall be the Tribunale di Napoli, in accordance with Italian jurisdictional rules.
