Terms, Conditions & Notes
This Invoice is issued by Pacific Meridian Oceanographic Research Institute for professional Oceanographer services rendered in and around China Guangzhou during the period of January 2025 through June 2025. All services were performed in compliance with the Marine Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the local regulations of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment.
- Payment is due within 30 calendar days of the Invoice issue date (July 15, 2025) via bank transfer to the ICBC account listed above. Late payments will incur a penalty of 0.05% per calendar day as stipulated under Chinese commercial contract law.
- All data, reports, and intellectual property produced by the Oceanographer under this engagement remain the exclusive property of the Guangzhou Maritime Development Authority upon full settlement of this Invoice.
- The Oceanographer warrants that all fieldwork was conducted with valid permits issued by the China Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration and the National Marine Data and Information Service.
- This Invoice is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. After this period, the client must request a re-issued Invoice reflecting any applicable tax adjustments.
- Any disputes arising from this Invoice shall be resolved through arbitration at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Guangzhou Sub-Commission, in accordance with its then-current rules.
- The Oceanographer reserves the right to publish anonymized scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals, provided that no confidential operational data of the client is disclosed.
