Payment Terms & Conditions
This Invoice is issued in accordance with the South African National Treasury Regulations and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) of 1999. Payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue, as stated above.
- Payment must be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the bank account details provided in the Service Provider section of this Invoice.
- Please quote the Invoice number INV-2025-0487 and reference OCEAN-JHB-2025-Q2 in all payment communications.
- Late payments will attract interest at the rate prescribed by the Late Payment of Debts to Small Businesses Act, 1998, calculated from the due date until the date of full settlement.
- All services rendered by the Oceanographer are subject to the terms of the Master Service Agreement (MSA) dated 01 January 2025, registered with the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce.
- This Invoice is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, a revised Invoice reflecting any applicable price adjustments will be issued.
Additional Notes
All oceanographic data, reports, and deliverables referenced in this Invoice remain the intellectual property of Dr. Thandiwe Mokoena Oceanographic Services until full payment has been received and confirmed. The Department of Environmental Affairs is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the data for government environmental management purposes within South Africa upon settlement of this Invoice.
The Oceanographer confirms that all fieldwork was conducted in compliance with the National Environmental Management: Integrated Coastal Management Act (NEM:ICMA), 2011, and the relevant permits issued by the South African National Oceanographic Institute (SANOI). All sampling activities in the Johannesburg metropolitan area and surrounding water bodies were performed under valid environmental authorisation.
