Payment for this Invoice is to be remitted within thirty (30) calendar days of the Invoice date. The Professor's designated receiving account is held at MUFG Bank, Kyoto Central Branch, Account Number 245-8812-003, Account Name: Kenji Tanaka. International wire transfers should reference Invoice Number KYO-2025-04782 in the transfer memo. Please note that late payments exceeding the due date will incur a penalty of 1.5% per month as stipulated in the original engagement agreement. All payments are to be made in Japanese Yen (JPY) unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by the Professor's office.
Important Notes Regarding This Invoice:
1. This Invoice has been prepared in accordance with the tax regulations of Japan and the specific academic engagement terms agreed upon between the Professor and the International Academic Exchange Foundation. The Professor's professional services are exempt from certain withholding taxes under Article 15 of the Japan-Kyoto Academic Exchange Agreement (2023 revision).
2. All services described in this Invoice were performed by the Professor personally or under the Professor's direct academic supervision. No portion of the fees listed herein has been subcontracted to third parties.
3. The Professor reserves the right to publish research findings, lecture materials, and cultural observations gathered during the engagement period in Japan Kyoto, subject to a 90-day embargo period as specified in the engagement contract.
4. Any disputes arising from this Invoice shall be resolved through mediation at the Japan Kyoto Arbitration Center for Academic and Professional Matters, located at 2-14 Shijo-dori, Nakagyo-ku, Japan Kyoto 604-8006.
5. This Invoice constitutes the final and complete accounting for all services rendered during the engagement period. No additional charges will be incurred beyond the amounts stated herein.
