Payment Terms & Conditions
1. This Invoice is issued in accordance with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements for GST-registered entities operating in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. All amounts are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include Goods and Services Tax at the current rate of 10%.
2. Payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue of this Invoice. The University Lecturer, Dr. Margaret Thompson, requests that payment be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the bank account details specified above. Cheques are not accepted.
3. A 2% early payment discount is available if the full Invoice amount is settled within fourteen (14) days of the issue date. This discount has been applied to the Grand Total as shown above.
4. In the event of overdue payment, interest will be charged at the rate of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, in compliance with the Australian Consumer Law and applicable Queensland state regulations governing commercial transactions in Brisbane.
5. All services rendered by the University Lecturer are subject to the terms outlined in the Service Agreement dated 15 January 2025, registered under the Queensland University and Tertiary Education Act 2014. Any disputes regarding this Invoice shall be resolved through mediation in Brisbane, Queensland, before escalation to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).
6. The University Lecturer confirms that all academic work, lecture materials, and research supervision activities described in this Invoice were conducted in full compliance with the institution's academic integrity policies and the Australian Code of Practice for Research Integrity.
Notes & Additional Information
Note 1: This Invoice covers the academic period from 3 February 2025 to 13 June 2025. All University Lecturer services were delivered at the Brisbane campus facilities unless otherwise specified. Travel expenses for the keynote address (Ref 06) are included in the hourly rate and no separate reimbursement is required.
Note 2: Dr. Thompson is a registered University Lecturer with the Queensland University and Tertiary Education Commission (QUTEC) and holds a valid Professional Development Registration (PDR) number: QLD-2025-08841. All teaching and supervision activities comply with the National Tertiary Education Standards applicable in Australia.
