Studies on media development in Africa highlight the importance of visual storytelling in empowering marginalized communities and fostering national identity. In Ethiopia, videographers often blend traditional storytelling techniques with contemporary digital tools to create content that resonates locally and internationally. However, limited academic research has specifically addressed the challenges faced by videographers in Addis Ababa.

This Master Thesis employs a mixed-methods approach to gather comprehensive insights into the experiences of videographers in Addis Ababa.
