This research employs qualitative ethnographic methods within DR Congo Kinshasa. Data was collected through:

• In-Depth Interviews: Conducted with 25 prominent actors from the Congolese film industry (often referred to as Nollywood of Africa) and traditional theater groups in Kinshasa.
• Participant Observation: Attending rehearsals at local cultural centers such as the Théâtre National du Congo and independent workshops in communes like Matonge and Limete.
• Textual Analysis: Examining scripts, films, and performance reviews to identify recurring themes of poverty, love, political corruption, and spiritualism.
