The architectural landscape is characterized by a stark contrast: high-rise glass facades in the Plateau district versus dense, organic informal settlements in areas like Yopougon and Anyama.

The central thesis of this study posits that the contemporary Architect must address three specific dimensions:

• Cultural Continuity:
Maintaining the visual language of Akan and other local traditions.
• Social Equity:Including informal sectors in urban planning.i>
• Environmental Resilience:Tackling coastal erosion and flooding through design.

This Academic Poster Presentation utilizes a qualitative mixed-methods approach. It combines spatial analysis of the Abidjan skyline with ethnographic interviews conducted with local practitioners in Ivory Coast Abidjan. The study categorizes architectural interventions over the last decade (2014–2024) to identify patterns where traditional Architect methodologies succeeded or failed in engaging local communities.
