In this vibrant city, which serves as the commercial capital of Tanzania, the demand for safe pharmaceuticals and clean environmental standards is increasing exponentially. However, the infrastructure supporting chemical analysis often lags behind the rapid urbanization rate. This poster presentation aims to address these gaps by examining how a skilled Chemist can bridge scientific rigor with community needs in Tanzania.

In Dar es Salaam, issues such as counterfeit medications, industrial waste discharge into the Indian Ocean and local wetlands, and contaminated drinking water sources pose significant risks to the population. The role of a Chemist is not merely academic; it is a practical necessity for safeguarding human health. This document serves as an academic poster presentation designed to inform stakeholders, including policy makers in Tanzania, healthcare providers in Dar es Salaam, and international development partners about the urgent need for enhanced chemical infrastructure and professional expertise.

To assess the current state of chemical safety and analysis in Tanzania, this study employed a mixed-methods approach focused on Dar es Salaam.
