The population is highly educated and internationally diverse, leading to an increase in requests for invisible aligner therapies alongside traditional fixed appliances. This poster aims to evaluate the current state of orthodontic practice in this region, focusing on how local Orthodontist practitioners are adapting their methodologies to meet the rigorous standards expected by patients in Switzerland Zurich.

  • To assess the prevalence of digital workflow adoption among certified Orthodontist professionals in the Canton of Zurich.

  • To analyze patient satisfaction metrics comparing clear aligner therapy versus fixed bracket systems in an urban Swiss context.

  • To determine how Swiss healthcare regulations impact treatment planning and insurance coverage for orthodontic interventions.

This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative patient feedback. Data was collected from three major private clinics and one university-affiliated department in Zurich, Switzerland.


  1. Quantitative Survey: A total of 500 patients aged 12-45 were surveyed regarding their treatment experience, wait times, and perceived value. All data was anonymized in compliance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

The Orthodontist of today in Zurich, Switzerland, acts as a technology integrator, a patient educator, and a financial counselor. The high adoption rate of digital tools in Zurich reflects the city’s broader commitment to innovation and precision.


However, challenges remain. The cost barrier for advanced digital solutions can limit access to care for lower-income residents. Additionally, the rapid pace of technological change requires continuous professional development, placing a strain on local Orthodontist practices in terms of time and financial resources.


In conclusion, the practice of orthodontics in Zurich Switzerland, is characterized by a high standard of care driven by technological advancement and patient-centric values.
