In many small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) within Myanmar Yangon, Welder training is often informal, relying on apprenticeship models that lack rigorous theoretical foundations or safety certifications. This results in inconsistent weld quality, increased material wastage, and significant safety hazards for workers. Furthermore, as international investors increasingly enter the market in Myanmar Yangon, they demand compliance with global codes such as AWS (American Welding Society) and ISO standards. The existing pool of Welder professionals in Myanmar Yangon often lacks certification under these specific frameworks, creating a bottleneck for large-scale foreign direct investment. Additionally, benchmarking was conducted against successful vocational models used in neighboring Thailand and Vietnam to adapt best practices suitable for Myanmar Yangon. The research specifically analyzed the economic feasibility of upgrading Welder training facilities within Myanmar Yangon, considering local supply chain limitations and import restrictions on specialized welding consumables. This comprehensive methodology ensures that our proposed solutions are not only theoretically sound but also practically implementable in the specific socio-economic context of Myanmar Yangon. The findings reveal a critical deficit in advanced welding techniques among the current workforce in Myanmar Yangon. Over seventy percent of respondents indicated that structural failures due to poor welding were a recurring issue, costing the local economy significantly annually. Furthermore, only fifteen percent of Welder trainees in Myanmar Yangon possess formal international certification. The study also identified that modern automation and robotic welding—while growing globally—are largely absent in Myanmar Yangon due to high initial capital costs. Second, there must be significant investment in practical equipment for technical schools across Myanmar Yangon to ensure that Welder students gain hands-on experience with modern machinery, not just outdated analog tools. Third, a public-private partnership model should be established in Myanmar Yangon to subsidize training costs for low-income apprentices. By implementing these recommendations, the industry in Myanmar Yangon can cultivate a world-class Welder workforce that drives both local economic growth and global competitiveness. In conclusion, the future of industrial progress in Myanmar Yangon is inextricably linked to the quality and professionalism of its Welder workforce. While challenges exist regarding infrastructure and standardization, the opportunity for transformation within Myanmar Yangon is immense. By investing in rigorous academic training for Welder professionals, we can elevate safety standards, reduce industrial waste, and attract higher-value international investment to Myanmar Yangon.
