Myanmar has long been a country of significant geopolitical interest due to its strategic location between South Asia and East Asia Within this broader national context Yangon stands out as a unique microcosm of Myanmar’s diversity economic activity and political tension Historically the capital moved from Yangon to Naypyidaw but Yangon remains the de facto center for commerce media and civil society Despite these shifts in administrative power local leadership remains crucial At the heart of this local influence is the Politician who acts as a bridge between governmental policies community needs and international aid efforts.

The purpose of this Project Report is to dissect the multifaceted role of a Politician in Yangon. It is not merely about electoral politics but encompasses administrative capacity, crisis management, community mobilization, and ethical governance. In Yangon where urban poverty coexists with rapid modernization the Politician faces unique pressures to deliver results while maintaining political survival.

3.0 Contextual Background of Political Dynamics in Myanmar

To understand the specific environment of Yangon one must first appreciate the broader political framework of Myanmar. The 2021 military coup fundamentally altered the power balance creating a dual authority structure in many parts including Yangon On one hand there is the State Administration Council (SAC) representing military control on other hand there exists a decentralized network of Local Administrative Committees and National Unity Government (NUG) representatives who operate with varying degrees of visibility and support.
