NOTE: This Purchase Order is issued by Dr. Wanjiru M. Kamau, an Academic Researcher operating under the National Research Fund grant NRF-KEN-2025-0092. All items listed herein are procured exclusively for academic research purposes conducted within the Kenya Nairobi metropolitan area and its surrounding counties. The Academic Researcher assumes full responsibility for the proper use, maintenance, and eventual return or disposal of all equipment in accordance with University of Nairobi asset management policies. TERMS AND CONDITIONS- Delivery: The supplier shall deliver all items specified in this Purchase Order to the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Arts, Social and Humanities, Karen Road, Kenya Nairobi, within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of this Purchase Order. Delivery shall be made between 08:00 and 16:00 hours, Monday through Friday.
- Payment: Payment of the full amount of KES 1,758,068.00 shall be made via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account within thirty (30) days of receipt and satisfactory inspection of all goods. The Academic Researcher's office shall process the payment through the University's central accounts department in Kenya Nairobi.
- Quality Assurance: All equipment must be new, unused, and in original manufacturer packaging. The Academic Researcher reserves the right to reject any item that does not meet the specifications outlined in this Purchase Order. Rejected items must be replaced within seven (7) days at no additional cost to the buyer.
- Warranty: The supplier guarantees a minimum of twelve (12) months manufacturer warranty on all electronic devices. Warranty claims shall be processed through the supplier's service center located in Kenya Nairobi, Industrial Area.
- Intellectual Property: All data collected using the equipment procured under this Purchase Order remains the exclusive property of the Academic Researcher and the University of Nairobi. The supplier shall have no claim over any research findings, publications, or data derived from the use of these items.
- Compliance: This Purchase Order is subject to the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (2015) of Kenya and the University of Nairobi's internal procurement regulations. All transactions must comply with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) tax obligations.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Kenya Nairobi before resorting to litigation in the High Court of Kenya, Nairobi.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government policy changes, or public health emergencies affecting operations in Kenya Nairobi.
